Golf International de La Bretesche (Golf International de La Bretesche)

Designed by James Bill Baker in 1969 this parkland course offers a good round of golf in beautiful surroundings. The course is a favourite in the area because of its stunning views of the chateau and the excellent condition it remains in all year round.

The fairways are wide and open but a degree of accuracy is required when playing approach shots as many of the greens are well guarded by bunkers.

18 holes. Par 72. 6570 yards. Parkland.

La Bretesche also features a short 9 hole course, which makes for an ideal warm-up before your main challenge.

Accommodation

Les Cottages de La Bretesche 4*

There are 30 modern cottages at La Bretesche that can each sleep up to four people. Each cottage comes with a lounge and a private terrace equipped with garden furniture. The cottages either overlook the golf course or are set in the tranquillity of the forest. These lodges are perfect for a golfing group or a family.

In addition, in July 2006, the new "Square Courtyard" Spa was opened. Billed as an experience of sheer luxury, tranquillity and sensuality in a space entirely devoted to your enjoyment and total "detente"! Featuring relaxing massages, aromatherapy and oligotherapy, this is what the resort describes as "a multi-sensorial cocoon".

A team of specialists are on hand to answer your every whim and with warm surroundings of sandstone, slate, stonework and teak, and opulent treatments using such things as moisturising caviar extract and vitamin cocoon, this is a place to forget the outside world. What's more, any visitors from March 2007 will have use of an indoor pool and hammam as well!
