The much sought-after Donald Steel has created, at Château des Vigiers, a unique 18 hole, par 72 championship course set amidst plum trees, oak woods, lakes and, of course, vineyards. It has been designed so the Château is the centrepiece with the 9th and 18th finishing off in front of the building.
However, you can see this aesthetically pleasing structure from many of the other undulating greens on the course. Although the course is a joy to play from start to finish, the 18th stands out. It's a dogleg over a ridge with the second requiring a shot over a lake to the green; a truly "vintage finale" to a top round of golf.
18 holes. Par 72. 6565 yards. Parkland / Woodland.
There is also a short academy course at Vigiers as well as a practice putting green, a driving range and buggy hire.
